Gold Price in Pakistan Drops by Nearly Rs. 20,000 from Record High

KARACHI – May 2025:
The price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs. 1,300 per tola on Friday, now standing at Rs. 344,500, down from Rs. 345,800 the previous day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

Gold has declined by a total of Rs. 19,200 per tola from its recent all-time high of Rs. 363,700, reflecting a broader trend of easing prices in both local and international markets.

Price Highlights:

  • 10 grams of 24K gold: Rs. 295,353 (↓ Rs. 1,114)

  • 10 grams of 22K gold: Rs. 270,740 (↓ Rs. 1,031)

  • Silver (per tola): Rs. 3,427 (no change)

  • Silver (10 grams): Rs. 2,938 (no change)

  • Gold in international market: $3,263/oz (↓ $13)

  • Silver international rate: $32.45/oz

Experts suggest that global market fluctuations and local demand trends are driving the price correction after a historic surge.
