KARACHI — Ashura Holidays Sindh: The Government of Sindh has officially declared Ashura holidays in Sindh for July 5 (Saturday) and July 6 (Sunday), 2025, corresponding to the 9th and 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram 1447 A.H.

According to the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department, a notification issued on July 1, 2025, confirms that the Ashura holidays Sindh will apply to:
All government offices
Autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies
Corporations and local councils under Sindh government control
⚠️ Essential services will remain operational during the two-day holiday period.
The announcement was issued under the authority of Chief Secretary Sindh, Asif Hyder Shah, and circulated to all relevant departments for immediate implementation.
