Pakistan’s cricketers have gained major ground in the latest ICC Men’s Player Rankings, following a string of impressive performances in both ODI and T20I formats. After a series of victories at home and away, Pakistan’s batting and bowling lineup is showing renewed promise ahead of major tournaments.

Salman Agha Reaches Career-Best Rating

In the Pakistan ODI match against Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi, Salman Agha played a brilliant knock of 105 runs off 87 balls, guiding Pakistan to a narrow win. His exceptional innings propelled him 14 places up in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings to 16th position with 639 rating points, marking a personal best in his international career.

Hussain Talat and Saim Ayub Impress

Hussain Talat also contributed significantly with a composed 62 runs off 63 deliveries, reinforcing Pakistan’s strong batting depth. Meanwhile, Saim Ayub climbed 18 spots to joint 35th after consistent half-centuries in Pakistan’s series win against South Africa. On the bowling front, Haris Rauf made a strong return to international cricket with a four-wicket haul against Sri Lanka, improving his ranking by three places to reach 28th position in the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings.

Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed, who had an outstanding 4/27 performance in the ODI series decider versus South Africa, also leaped 17 spots, proving his consistency even when not playing in every fixture.

International Stars Also on the Move

South Africa’s Quinton de Kock showed fine form against Pakistan, scoring above fifty in all three ODIs and moving up four places to 15th in the batting rankings.

Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga was another standout, rising 14 positions to 116th in the batting list and improving to 9th in the bowling rankings. His all-round brilliance keeps him among the top 10 ODI all-rounders globally.

T20I Rankings Update

In the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, Jacob Duffy from New Zealand surged forward after a string of impressive performances. His six wickets in four matches against West Indies helped him climb six spots to rank No. 3 among T20I bowlers, just behind Rashid Khan and Varun Chakaravarthy.
