Here’s How to Apply for Ajrak Number Plates Online
Karachi drivers are now required to get Ajrak number plates online as part of the Safe City Project. The Sindh government has made these special security-featured plates mandatory, and the traffic police are taking strict action against vehicles without them.
The new Ajrak plates come with advanced security features such as barcodes, 3D holograms, background threads, and night-readable technology that works with CCTV cameras. These features make it easier for law enforcement to trace vehicles quickly and reduce crime.
Why Ajrak Number Plates Are Important
According to Sindh’s Excise and Taxation Minister, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, the purpose of these plates is to improve citywide safety and vehicle tracking. Unlike low-quality plates from local markets, the official Ajrak number plates are secure, traceable, and part of the broader digital system for city security.
