Pakistan China Space Cooperation 2025 Training Centre
Pakistan and China have taken a major step in their strategic partnership by enhancing Pakistan China space cooperation under a new five-year action plan (2025–2029). The initiative focuses on astronaut training, lunar missions, and the establishment of a Pakistan Space Center.
Joint Action Plan for Space Development
The collaboration is part of the broader framework for a closer China-Pakistan partnership in the new era. The action plan expands on the 2021–2030 Space Cooperation Outline signed between the China National Space Administration (CNSA) and the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO).

Pakistan Space Center and Astronaut Training
A key highlight is the proposed Pakistan Space Center, which will serve as a hub for research, development, and the application of space technologies. Both countries agreed to start joint astronaut selection and training programs, paving the way for Pakistan’s potential participation in future human spaceflight missions in collaboration with China.

Lunar and Deep Space Exploration
The action plan reaffirms joint work on lunar and deep space exploration. This includes multilevel assessments of the International Lunar Research Station, a project led by China, with Pakistan expected to play an important role.
Advanced Space Technologies for Development
China will also provide access to its international version of the China Earth Observation System Platform. This will allow Pakistan to utilize advanced satellite and remote sensing technologies for key sectors, including:
- Agriculture
- Disaster management
- Climate monitoring
- Urban planning
- Water resource management
Strategic Significance of Space Cooperation
Both nations emphasized that their cooperation in space sciences is not only a technological partnership but also a matter of strategic importance.
