The Core Connection: Award-Winning Project
The Pakistani-led team developed “The Core Connection,” a digital platform aimed at improving Pakistan’s urban transit infrastructure. Inspired by Lahore’s Orange Line Metro, the project proposed a direct digital supply bridge connecting Chinese manufacturers with Pakistani transport authorities, enabling real-time inventory tracking, order placement, and international shipment monitoring.
Inspiration from CPEC and Lahore Metro
The project draws lessons from the 27-kilometer Orange Line in Lahore, implemented under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework. The metro system has revolutionized urban mobility, demonstrating how modern rail infrastructure can address complex transportation challenges efficiently. The Core Connection builds on this model digitally for seamless supply chain management.
Digital Platform Features and Benefits
The Core Connection platform provides a centralized hub for browsing essential metro parts, checking real-time inventory, placing orders, and tracking international shipments. This digital solution tackles logistical challenges, streamlines procurement, and ensures transparency across cross-border supply chains, significantly improving operational efficiency for Pakistani transport authorities.
