What Mills Brings to Zalmi
Experience in PSL Conditions
Mills has played 30 PSL matches across multiple seasons and franchises. This experience in Pakistani conditions is invaluable . He knows the pitches, the crowds, and the pressure of the league. He has represented Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi (PSL 3), and Islamabad United (last two seasons) .

Genuine Pace and Variations
As an express left-arm pacer, Mills brings genuine speed to the attack. His ability to bowl at 145+ kph and execute yorkers at the death makes him a valuable asset in T20 cricket . He also has variations like slower balls and cutters that work well on Pakistani pitches.

Previous Zalmi Connection
Mills played for Zalmi in PSL 3, taking seven wickets in five matches at an economy of 7.21 . Coming back to a franchise he knows should help him settle quickly and perform from the start of the tournament.

Partnership with Other Pacers
Mills joins a pace attack that already includes Aamir Jamal and Khurram Shahzad . This combination gives captain Babar Azam genuine variety – right-arm, left-arm, pace, and movement – across all phases of the innings.

Zalmi’s Performance in Previous Season
In the last edition of the tournament (PSL 10), Peshawar Zalmi had a disappointing campaign . In 10 matches, they registered only four victories and faced six defeats, ending in fifth position on the points table . For PSL 11, the franchise is clearly aiming to improve and challenge for their second title, having won their first and only championship in 2017 .

Analysis by Best Pak Mag

Peshawar Zalmi have assembled one of the most balanced squads for PSL 11, and the signing of Tymal Mills adds genuine pace firepower to their already impressive attack. The left-arm pacer’s previous experience with the franchise in PSL 3, where he claimed seven wickets in five matches at an economy of 7.21, will serve him well as he returns to familiar surroundings .

Mills’ T20 credentials speak for themselves – 37 wickets in 30 PSL matches at an economy of 8.41, plus over 300 T20 wickets overall . His ability to bowl consistently at high speeds and deliver in pressure situations makes him a valuable asset for the 2017 champions.

The timing of this signing is strategic. With PSL 11 just weeks away, Zalmi have now completed their squad and can focus on team combinations and match preparation . The blend of experience – Babar Azam’s leadership, James Vince’s elegance, and now Mills’ pace – combined with young talent like Sufiyan Muqeem and Ali Raza, gives the Yellow Storm the perfect balance.

Mills is also currently in good form. In his most recent SA20 appearance for Pretoria Capitals, he registered figures of 2 for 17 against Joburg Super Kings, finishing as the most economical bowler with an economy rate of just 4.25 runs per over and bowling 15 dot balls – more than any bowler in that match .

PSL 11 runs from March 26 to May 3, 2026. Zalmi will hope Mills stays fit and delivers with the ball throughout the tournament. If he can replicate his best form, he could be the X-factor that propels Zalmi to their second PSL title.
