Monsoon Rainfall Predicted Till July 26 Across Pakistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a fresh weather alert predicting widespread monsoon rainfall across the country through July 26, warning of potential urban flooding, landslides, and flash floods in vulnerable areas.

According to the PMD, monsoon currents are entering Sindh and northern Pakistan, and a new westerly wave is expected to affect upper and central regions starting July 20.

The PMD has warned of the following hazards due to monsoon rainfall:

Flash Floods: High risk in northern KP, Murree, Kashmir, and parts of Punjab

Urban Flooding: Expected in low-lying areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Peshawar

Landslides: Likely in hilly areas of KP, Murree, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan

Damage to Infrastructure: Risk to weak rooftops, billboards, poles, and solar panels due to wind and rain
