Sialkot PSL franchise owners have announced that the official name and logo of the new Pakistan Super League team will be revealed within the next few days.
The update was shared by Kamil Khan, co owner of the Sialkot PSL franchise, who said the ownership group entered the PSL auction with a clear long term vision and structured roadmap.

Sialkot PSL was officially confirmed as the league’s eighth franchise after the Pakistan Cricket Board awarded ownership to OZ Developers.
The company is owned by Hamza Majeed and secured the franchise during a high profile auction held at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad.
With the addition of Sialkot and another new team, the PSL will expand from six to eight teams starting in 2026.

The Pakistan Super League 2026 season is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3.

“Our aim is to bring top international talent to the Sialkot team while building a strong local foundation,” Khan said.

Khan expressed strong confidence in the continued popularity of the Pakistan Super League.
He said PSL crowds turn up regardless of venue, calling the league one of the biggest attractions for cricket fans across Pakistan.
“Wherever the PSL is played the fans will turn up,” he stated.

Looking ahead, Khan highlighted potential clashes with Lahore Qalandars as fixtures he is most excited about.
He described the rivalry as intense on the field but friendly off it, adding to the entertainment value of the league.

Khan confirmed that all major decisions related to Sialkot PSL will be taken in coordination with the Pakistan Cricket Board.
He praised the PSL for its role in strengthening Pakistan’s cricket system and said the league’s growth trajectory remains positive.
