PM Shehbaz Launches Chinese Textile Economic Zone with $400M Export Target<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has inaugurated a new Chinese Textile Economic Zone in Pakistan, a landmark industrial initiative aimed at boosting exports, creating jobs, and strengthening Pakistan-China economic ties under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework.<\/p>\n

$100 Million Investment & $400 Million Export Goal<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Economic Zone will be developed by Challenge Fashion Private Limited, a leading Chinese garments group that has already invested $17 million in Pakistan since 2014. Over the next five years, the company will invest $100 million, with projected export revenues of $400 million.<\/p>\n

This large-scale project is expected to not only generate foreign exchange but also transfer advanced textile technology to Pakistan, fostering skill development and modern manufacturing practices.<\/p>\n

Technology Transfer & Industrial Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the groundbreaking ceremony, PM Shehbaz emphasized the importance of technology transfer, sustainable industrial growth, and job creation. He directed relevant authorities to provide full facilitation to the Challenge Group to ensure the timely completion of the Economic Zone.<\/p>\n

The prime minister also reiterated his government\u2019s commitment to industrial expansion under CPEC, leveraging China\u2019s expertise in the textile sector to modernize Pakistan\u2019s industry.<\/p>\n

Strengthening Pakistan-China Economic Ties<\/strong><\/p>\n

Highlighting the time-tested friendship between Pakistan and China, PM Shehbaz expressed confidence that this initiative would open doors for more Chinese industries to invest in Pakistan. He also announced plans for a China-Pakistan Business-to-Business Conference in China to promote collaboration between private sectors of both countries.<\/p>\n

Chairman Huwang Weiguo of Challenge Fashion Private Limited thanked the prime minister for Pakistan\u2019s hospitality and business support. He reaffirmed the company\u2019s plan to establish a modern textile industry in Pakistan that meets global export standards.<\/p>\n
