According to the Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, the upcoming E-Commerce Policy 2.0 aims to modernize Pakistan\u2019s online trade system by focusing on key pillars such as digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, e-payment facilitation, and business regulation.<\/p>\n

Meeting with Meta: Strengthening Digital Cooperation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The announcement came after a high-level meeting between Federal Minister Jam Kamal Khan and a delegation from Meta, led by Rafael Frankel, Director for Emerging Markets.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, both sides explored collaboration opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), digital trade, and online business growth. Meta praised Pakistan\u2019s rapid digital development and expressed interest in supporting the government\u2019s digital training programs for entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).<\/p>\n

Minister Jam Kamal Khan emphasized that Pakistan is among South Asia\u2019s fastest-growing digital economies, producing over 75,000 IT graduates annually.<\/p>\n

He also highlighted that IT and IT-enabled services exports grew by 18 percent, reaching $3.8 billion, while the first quarter of the current fiscal year saw a 21 percent increase, with exports hitting $1.06 billion.<\/p>\n
